Julia is Head of Platform at b2venture with over a decade of experience in marketing and communications in early stage startups, scale ups, and corporates. Born in Ukraine and raised in Israel, she moved to Berlin after her military service in 2009.

“I love languages and different cultures, and Berlin felt like a good fit. It’s not surprising to me it’s become such an attractive place for startups and people from all over the world.”

Julia is a polyglot - she speaks four languages:  Hebrew, Russian, English and German, and understands Croatian and Spanish.

‍

“Traveling is one of my biggest passions - I’ve been to China, India, the United States, and many parts of Europe, but the country that has intrigued me the most is Japan.”

Having been a part of the Berlin ecosystem for an extended period, Julia believes workplace diversity and equality are subjects that have not received adequate attention.

That’s why it has become her primary objective to ensure that a minimum of 50% of women are hired for the teams she has built throughout the years.

‍

Her aspiration is to actively support any initiatives within the VC ecosystem aimed at enhancing the representation of women, both among founders and investors.

‍

Before coming to b2venture, Julia worked at Fidor Bank, where shs built up and led the Berlin marketing team and at TFP Fertility, where she led global internal and external communications. She is married and the proud mother of two little girls.
