We believe that diversity, equality, and inclusion (DE&I) are critical to our business and that we as a firm and our portfolio companies can benefit from this policy. Furthermore, we believe everyone in our organization should be guided by these values and responsible for ensuring they are upheld in both their private and public conduct.

We do not tolerate discrimination against anyone based on non-work-related personal characteristics and have measures in place to enhance awareness of unconscious bias. We also are committed to creating a work environment that is free from discrimination, harassment, derogatory attitudes, and bullying. We work to support diverse talent within and outside the organization and promote their success.

For example, we are committed to looking beyond our existing networks and posting open roles publicly, for example on major job boards, making sure that everyone has a chance to apply. We also maintain an inclusion statement in our job descriptions to encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply. In all hiring processes, we are committed to building a candidate pipeline which, at the final round, should include candidates from diverse backgrounds and gender.

Our intergenerational model allows for the fact that capital is not necessary to become a partner at our firm, and we are committed to finding solutions on a case-by-case basis that takes an individual’s personal means into account. For any event hosted by us, we will work to ensure participation of all genders and backgrounds. And for events in which we are participants, we work to ensure that diverse participation.

If anyone believes that they or another person has experienced misconduct that is inconsistent with this policy, they should immediately report the matter to b2venture’s Chief Empowerment Officer Phyllis Studerus or Partner Andreas Goeldi. All accusations are taken seriously and will be thoroughly examined to maintain the confidentiality of the source of the report.
