b2venture welcomes Dr. Friederike Hoffmann as Partner in the Direct Investments Team as of January. With more than fifteen years of senior leadership experience in large-scale, technology-driven business-to-business organizations, Friederike brings deep commercial, operational, and governance  expertise to the partnership.

Before joining b2venture, Friederike held executive leadership roles at Swisscom, most recently as Executive Vice President and Head of the business-to-business telecommunications business and a member of the Enterprise Board. In this role, she led complex commercial, product, and delivery organizations, as well as global partner ecosystems, including IoT- and 5G-related business activities. Her work focused on scaling enterprise platforms, navigating regulated environments, and leading organizations through long-term transformation.

In addition to her operational background, Friederike brings extensive governance experience from her board roles at Ivoclar and localsearch (Swisscom Directories AG). She holds a PhD from the University of St. Gallen, with a research focus on business model innovation and organizational transformation.

Building on her professional background and the firm’s long-standing angel platform, her focus is on enabling close collaboration between the Direct Investments team and the angel network across the investment lifecycle, from sourcing and selection to valuing and company support. By bringing additional operational and governance expertise into these interactions, she helps deepen the integration of the angel community into b2venture’s long-term company-building approach.
